Oily Skin

Oily Skin:
This condition occurs when too much oil is produced by the sebaceous glands, which is influenced by family history, hormone changes, stress and environment. Large pores, a shiny appearance, and a greasy feel several hours after cleansing characterize oily skin.
Treatment: At night, after you have used the complete skin care system, approximately one hour before bedtime apply a thin layer of the Quick Dry Acne Treatment to your oily areas only. Make sure to avoid the areas around your eyes, corner of nose and around the mouth area.

Acne

Acne: In order to understand why acne happens, we have to begin at the source: the oil glands. These glands produce the oil that may cause skin to breakout. The excess oil clogs the follicle and creates an impaction. In response to the large amount of oil and chemical reactions, the pore closes with the debris inside. This is commonly called a whitehead. A pore that doesn't close, but has debris that is in contact with the air is called a blackhead. Pores that become infected are called pustules.

Treatment: At night, after you have used the complete skin care system, approximately one hour before bedtime apply a thin layer of the Quick Dry Acne Treatment to your oily and acne areas only. Make sure to avoid the areas around your eyes, corner of your nose and around the mouth area.

Skin Discoloration

Skin Discoloration:
This is a common problem that affects darker skin tones. Obvious discoloration is probably the most devastating cosmetic condition for ethnic skin. Discolorations are white splotches or darker areas, including uneven skin tone, such as what happens when acne or razor bumps heal.

Treatment:
After you have used the complete skin care system, apply the Skin Lightening Moisturizer twice a day to the dark areas of your face. The Skin Lightening Moisturizer can also be used twice a day, or as needed, or tolerated, on your body to treat uneven skin tone.

Shaving Bumps (beard and bikini)

Shaving Bumps (beard and bikini):
For many ethnic men and women, a condition called Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB) can be hard to deal with. It’s when you get ingrown hairs after shaving too close with a razor. As a solution, some men just grow out their beards while women result to heavy makeup. PFB is a “splinter” reaction in the skin. This condition is caused because ethnic hair is coarse and usually grows curly. When shaved too closed the hair is cut below the skin and instead of growing straight out of the hair follicle, the curly hair begins to coil and grow into neighboring skin. The skin reacts to the invading hair by becoming irritated and bumpy, which results in dark spots and skin discoloration. For women, the areas that may be affected by PFB are the bikini line, stomach area and armpits.

Bumps on the back of the Neck

Bumps on the back of the Neck :
We all want to look good and that cool hair style with the close shave and fade at the back of the neck would really look nice, right? Not if it causes acne keloidalis - infections at the back of the neck around the hair follicles, which result in scarring, skin thickening, skin discoloration and hair loss. Skin irritation from shave hair cuts, not dirty clippers are the main culprit of this condition. A tight cap, certain products or profuse brushing can start the condition. Acne keloidalis hurts, itches and bleeds and it makes skin uncomfortable and unattractive.

Ance keloidalis doesn't happen overnight. It is the result of constant irritation, scrathing or rubbing and the first sign is tiny acne-like lesions. Not all irritations will result in acne keloidalis. To stop acne keloidalis from forming, the skin must not be irritated any longer. Consider getting a gentler haircut or stop using the irritating product. The treatment depends on the stage of the infection and scar formation.

Treatment: AM – follow the Steps below:

  1. Wash affected area on the Back of the Neck
  2. Apply Shaving Relief Oil to shave area
  3. Shave using the same technique described for face, as needed

Acne/Dark Spots

Dark Spots :
Two things could have occurred to cause a dark spot or darker area. The first may be a lot of dry, dull, dark dead skin cells piled up on that area. The second can be that your skin is reacting to some sort of insult, injury or disease. Ethnic skin normally heals by producing dark spots.

Treatment: After you have used the complete skin care system, apply the On The Spot Fade Treatment twice a day directly to the dark spots using an applicator. If your spots are large, use a cotton swab to apply the On The Spot Fade Treatment directly to the spots. If your spots are small, use the stick part of the cotton swab to apply the solution.
